Summer Writing Contest

I can see it's been a while!  I have been very busy, but that's not a good excuse!  My good friend, Michelle Fayard, let me know about a new writing contest hosted by Rachel McClellan.  Read all about it at http://blackbirdinmywindow.blogspot.com/2011/08/summer-writing-contest.html.  Lauren Ruth from BookEnds Agency will be judging this contest.  If you already have a story waiting in the wings, that's half the battle!  You only need the first 500 words; to follow Rachel McClellan's blog; spread the word on your own blog, Twitter, or FaceBook; and to critique 2 of the entries yourself.  Sounds easy, so give it a try!  Good luck!

On to bigger and better things!

Now that the contest is over and I was not one of the "chosen", it's time to move on.  Almost done with rewriting my book, I intend to go on and submit it again.  A year or two ago I got a nibble and I am hoping that the publisher is still interested.  I took some time off to finish school in the meantime so I haven't really had the time to rewrite until now.  Classes are finished until the fall now, so wish me luck!
